「ASTRO BOT」D.I.C.E. Awards授賞式でGame of the Yearを受賞。ゲームデザインなど各部門でも評価され5冠を達成

　米国時間の2月13日に開催されたD.I.C.E. Awards授賞式で，ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントのゲーム開発スタジオ・Team ASOBIによる「ASTRO BOT」（PS5）がGame of the Yearを獲得した。

　D.I.C.E. Awardsは，ゲーム業界の専門家らが構成する非営利団体，Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciencesが主催するイベントだ。ゲームのアカデミー賞とも呼ばれ，世界最大級の授賞式典とされている。
　
　「ASTRO BOT」は，Game of the Yearのほかに，Outstanding Achievement in Game Design（ゲームデザイン部門優秀賞），Family Game of the Year（ファミリーゲームオブザイヤー賞），Outstanding Achievement in Animation（アニメーション部門優秀賞），Outstanding Technical Achievement（技術部門優秀賞）の各部門でも受賞し，5冠を達成した。

　また，個人ゲーム開発者・LocalThunk氏による「Balatro」が，Mobile Game of the Year（年間最優秀モバイルゲーム賞），Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game（独立系ゲーム優秀賞），Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year（年間最優秀戦略/シミュレーションゲーム賞）を受賞し，3冠に輝いている。

　このほか，バンダイナムコエンターテインメントの「鉄拳8」がFighting Game of the Year（年間最優秀格闘ゲーム賞）に，アトラスの「メタファー：リファンタジオ」がRole-Playing Game of the Year（年間最優秀RPG賞）に選出された。

　また，Nintendo of Americaで長年リーダーを務め，礎を築いたDon James氏にAIAS Lifetime Achievement Award（AIAS 生涯功労賞受賞）の，Insomniac Gamesの社長であり創設者であるTed Price氏にHall of Fame Award（殿堂賞）のトロフィーがそれぞれ授与されている。
