工業化された惑星で暴漢達をなぎ倒すFPS，「Necromunda: Hired Gun」の制作が発表。6月1日のリリースを予定

　Focus Home Interactiveは，Games Workshopのミニチュアゲーム「ウォーハンマー 40,000」の外伝的な作品「ネクロムンダ」をライセンスした新作FPS「Necromunda: Hired Gun」の制作を発表し，最新トレイラーを公開した。対応機種はPCおよびPS5，PS4， Xbox Series X，Xbox Oneで，2021年6月1日のリリースが予定されている。

　「ウォーハンマー 40,000」は，エンパイアとケイオスの戦いが何万年も続く，はるかな未来を舞台にしたダークファンタジーだ。1995年に発表された「ネクロムンダ」は，「ウォーハンマー 40,000」の世界観を背景に，巨大な工業惑星を舞台にした異色作で，数kmにもおよぶ工場群や廃材のため，光も届かない無法地帯での争いが描かれる。いかついアーマーを装備したメインキャラクターや，モヒカンの人間やエイリアンで構成されるギャング「ハウス」など，サイバーパンクな雰囲気が特徴だ。


　「Necromunda: Hired Gun」では，プレイヤーは特定のグループに属さない雇われ兵士となり，ギャングから請け負ったクエストをこなしていくことになる。信じられるのは手にした拳銃と，相棒のサイバーマスティフ犬のみで，報酬を得ては自分の肉体やマスティフ犬を改良し，スキルを上げていく。


　開発を担当するのは，2011年の「E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy」が印象的なフランスのStreum On Studio。コンシューマ機版の日本展開は発表されていないが，SteamとEpic GamesストアのPC版についてはすでに予約受付が始まっており，予約特典のデジタルアイテムをセットにして15％オフのセールが行われている。気になる人は公式サイトなどをチェックしてほしい。
