「ウォッチドッグス レギオン」，“アサシン クリード”シリーズとコラボした新キャラクターの登場を告げる最新トレイラー公開

　北米時間の2021年8月17日，Ubisoft Entertainmentが販売中の「ウォッチドッグス レギオン」（PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X / PS4 / Xbox One）の最新トレイラーを公開し，「アサシン クリード」シリーズとのコラボを発表した。シーズンパスの所有者向けの新たなプレイアブルキャラクターとして，アサシン教団に所属する暗殺者「Darcy」が使用可能になるという。

　「ウォッチドッグス レギオン」は，大企業に支配されたロンドンを舞台に，凄腕ハッカー集団の「デッドセク」が反体制活動を繰り広げていくというオープンワールドのアクションRPGで，とくに決まった主人公が存在せず，プレイヤーが街で暮らすさまざまな特技を持ったNPCを自由にリクルートしてミッションに挑んでいくというシステムが最大の特徴だ。


　現段階で情報は少ないものの，公開されたトレイラーでは，DarcyがHidden blade（アサシンブレード）を使って警備員達を背後から襲う様子や，エツィオやアルタイルなどの像が飾られたアサシン教団の墓所らしき場所に向かう姿などが確認できる。


　Darcyの登場は8月24日が予定されており，また次回の無料アップデートでは，2つのストーリーミッションと，いくつかのワールドイベントを含む新たなコンテンツが登場することも予告されている。すでに発表されている，新モード「LEGION OF THE DEAD」も新コンテンツに含まれるようで，新モードでは，ゾンビであふれたロンドンでのミッションに挑戦することになるという（リンク）。
