　スパイク・チュンソフトから2014年10月30日に発売された「メトロ リダックス」（PlayStation 4 / Xbox One）のプレイムービーを掲載する。


　本作は，ウクライナのデベロッパである4A Gamesが開発した「メトロ2033」（PC / Xbox 360）と「メトロ ラストライト」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）を1本にまとめたタイトルだ。最新世代機向けのゲームエンジンによってグラフィックスが再構築されており，60fpsでの滑らかなゲームプレイが可能となっている。さらに海外で配信されたすべてのダウンロードコンテンツを収録するなど，まさにシリーズの“決定版”といえる内容だ。


　メトロシリーズは，“世界の終末”を描いたロシアの人気小説「Metro 2033」を原作にしており，核戦争によって汚染された地上から逃れ，モスクワの地下鉄跡で生活する人類と，放射能の影響で変異した不気味なクリーチャーとの熾烈な戦いが展開していく。
　独特のムードが漂う世界観やハードな物語，堅実なクオリティで高い評価を獲得しているシリーズなので，未プレイの人は「メトロ リダックス」で両作品に触れてみてほしい。また，追加要素はプレイ時間にして10時間以上にも及ぶとのことで，すでに遊び込んだという人でも楽しめるはずだ。
