「Prince of Persia」のシリーズ最新作，海外では12月2日に発売

　AOLの運営するゲーム情報サイト「Big Download Blog」が報じたところによると，Ubisoft Entertainmentは，プリンス・オブ・ペルシャシリーズ最新作「Prince of Persia」を，海外で2008年12月2日に発売すると発表した。PLAYSTATION 3版，Xbox 360版，Nintendo DS版も同時発売される予定だ。

　本作は，主人公（＝プレイヤー）であるペルシャの王子が，Elikaという名の女性と共に大冒険を繰り広げる三人称視点のアクションゲーム。タイトルからも分かるように，20年近く前に発売された第1作への原点回帰を目指した作品で，独特のタッチで描かれたグラフィックスや，スピーディに展開するアクションシーンをウリとしている（E3 2008でのレポート記事）。

　公式サイトでは，多数のスクリーンショットや，ムービートレイラーが公開されているので，そちらも併せて確認しよう。
