［E3 2006＃134］指輪物語MMORPG「LotRO」のプレイムービーをUp

　Turbineが開発中のMMORPG「The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar」のプレイムービーを4GamerにUpした。ムービーは，Turbineブース内の試遊台で撮影したもので，あるクエストのクライマックスシーンが収められている。ホビット，ヒューマン，エルフ，ドワーフといったプレイヤーキャラクターが，オークやトロールなどのモンスターと激しい戦闘を繰り広げている模様を，ぜひチェックしてみてほしい。ダウンロードは「こちら」（1分46秒：24.3MB，MPEG-1）から。

　ところで戦闘シーンを見てみると，BOSSらしきモンスターがピンチに陥ったときに，援軍としてトロールを呼ぶ（檻から出す）場面がある。こういったスクリプティブな演出は，シングルRPGではさほど珍しいことではないものの，昨今のMMORPGでは，なかなかお目にかかれないものといえる。ファンタジー小説の金字塔「指輪物語」をベースとするタイトルであるだけに，「物語る」演出の導入には期待と注目が集まるところである。
